57 patients with soft tissue trauma, connective apparatus damage, fractures, instability of knee and shoulder joint as well as patients before and after articular surgeries were treated by Phlogenzym at the dose of 6 tablets per day.
Group 1: 11 patients - replacement of pelvic-loins and knee joints by the   cobalt-titanium-plastic artificial ones
Group 2: 15 patients - restoring of knee and shoulder joint   capsular-connective apparatus homeostasis
Group 3: 5 patients - meniscectomy
Group 4: 7 patients - shin bone metalloosteosynthesis

Patients in the group 1 and 2 received Phlogenzym (5 x 3 tablets per day) for 5-6 days before surgery, patients in group 3 and 4 received the same dosage of Phlogenzym for 2-3 days before surgery.
After surgery patients received Phlogenzym (2 x 3 tablets per day) for 3-5 days and then Wobenzym (2 x 5 tablets per day) for 15 days (group1 and 2) or 9-10 days (group 3 and 4), resp.

Treatment results were evaluated according to following criteria:
amount of blood leaking through drainage
circumference of operated joint or extremity
edema lasting
local fever lasting
parameters of inflammation and condition of blood coagulation system
pain
lasting of restored joint function

Use of Phlogenzym and Wobenzym in the complex of conservative and surgical treatment led to the increased efficacy of damaged supportive-movement apparatus treatment.
Phlogenzym and Wobenzym showed an antiedematous, antiinflammatory, and analgesic effect.
Combination of Phlogenzym (short-term) and Wobenzym (lond-term) enabled to quickly restore a temporarily impaired function of the damaged extremity.
