The authors present the evaluation of the prospective study of
systemic enzymotherapy in septoplasty. In the period Jan 99 - June
1999 76 septoplasties have been done. The 20 patients with the odd
year of birth were included in this study, 15 males and 5 females
with the average age 32.
The evaluation of the Phlogenzym was positive. In all patients the
postoperative oedema was significantly decreased which was evaluated
by clinical and statistical methods. There was no significant
bleeding in any patient during per- and post-operative period. The
systemic enzymotherapy was well tolerated by all patients.
